Albie’s Northcote Renovation

This project involved the restoration of an existing Victorian residence and the addition of a more contemporary living and kitchen space opening onto a beautiful urban landscape. This family home in Northcote boasts a beautiful bookcase built into the staircase and generous views throughout the house. The house is extremely well ventilated, showcases double glazing, LED lights, rainwater tanks and solar panels, meaning low, if not no electricity bills, and a healthy living environment for our Clients.

The house falls within a heritage overlay so we were restricted with some of the external design moves. With expertise in this area, we were able to negotiate with the local Council for timely planning permission.

The project came in 2% over budget which is a testament to our practice’s commitment to all facets of architectural practice.
